“As long as I can remember, music has been a part of my life. From choir, to teacher and performer the music has always been in my soul.”

Born and raised in the Florida panhandle, with a blue collar background, much of my life was spent in the woods, water or a church pew. my earliest influences were gospel, country, bluegrass and oldies ala mom and dads record collection. At 10 years of age I was thrust into a new world as my folks went back to college and I lived on campus, taking classes and becoming entirely immersed in the life and music of the mid seventies adult. To end the decade, we moved to New Orleans, La. Where again my world opened to drastic changes in style, culture, and education. I was granted entry to a summer program at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (N.O,C.C.A.) and was subsequently accepted as a student there. The instructors there were professionals who were well known in there field. The vocal instructor sang in the New York Metropolitan Opera. The music theory teacher was jazz great Ellis Marsalis. Fellow students there read like a who’s who of the arts world. We were exposed to guest mentors like Dizzy Gillespie and Herbie Hancock. While I was told a full scholarship to Julliard School of Music was in my future, my parents had other plans. The family moved to rural Mississippi where choir and band became outlets and southern rock became a new influence. Put simply my musical tastes are wide and varied. This shows in my performances making each show different from the last and allowing for a wide range of request material.

I have performed with numerous bands and artists in a variety of rolls including trumpet, keyboards, rhythm guitar, lead guitar, back up vocals and front man. the bands have ranged from country, rock, jazz and blues, local, regional and touring. I perform at small and large venues, private parties, resorts and cruise ships. My solo shows usually are a mix of light rock and country from the 60’s through the 80’s.
